He is widely respected not just for his business acumen, but for his immense, unparalleled contributions to charity and nation-building.
Early Life & Education
Born in Bombay on December 28, 1937, he faced early life challenges but excelled in education. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in the United States. In 1962, he joined the Tata Group, starting on the shop floor of Tata Steel in Jamshedpur, which provided him a grounded understanding of the industry from the grassroots level.
I don't believe in taking right decisions. I take decisions and then make them right. Ups and downs in life are very important to keep us going.
