Dr. Annu Krishna Bhardwaj began her noble social work journey at the remarkably young age of 15 years old. Known throughout Pune and Maharashtra for her extremely simple, humble, and compassionate nature (Saral aur Seedhe Swabhav), she has dedicated over 15+ years of her life to helping the poor, needy, sick, and underprivileged without expecting anything in return.
As Founder & President of Vaishnavi Jan Kalyan Foundation, she stands as a beacon of hope for thousands of families in Pune.
Healthcare for the poor has been Dr. Annu Krishna Bhardwaj's core mission. She has organized over 50+ mega free medical and eye checkup camps across urban and rural Pune. Through her initiatives, more than 7,000+ underprivileged senior citizens have received 100% free cataract eye surgeries, intraocular lens implants, and complete post-operative medical care.
Dr. Annu Krishna Bhardwaj believes that no child should be deprived of education due to poverty or loss of parents. She personally sponsors and manages complete educational fees, books, uniforms, and nutritional care for hundreds of orphan children (Anath bacche) across Pune and nearby districts.
Every year, Dr. Annu Krishna Bhardwaj organizes Pune's grandest and most culturally celebrated Chhath Puja Mahotsav. Thousands of devotees gather to perform rituals on the banks of Pune rivers, with complete arrangements for ghat cleanliness, security, lighting, prasad distribution, and cultural performances hosted by her foundation.
